‘New York Office’
After Robot outgrew its OG home in a Tribeca townhouse, I was the creative director for the new The SpringHill Company offices in FiDi.
I worked with the Spector group to refine their concepts and make them culturally relevant an in tune with our company culture.
We had to take into account the multidisciplinary output of the company, which manifested in various ‘channels’ as the themes for different parts of the office. Touches like the group’s maxims as visibility strips on meeting room doors, an empowerment ‘selfie’ art piece, visible storage for company mementos, film set lighting rig lamp shades, and a front door that referenced the ‘speak-easy’ vibe of our Tribeca office ensured the company culture was front and center throughout.
(Fast Company did a nice write up)
We used handwriting of actual employees for these, creating custom sets for each office.
We even put in a The Shop themed meeting room that could double as a set.
And apparently I was pretty cool to work with?
