Virgin Mobile signed on as a foundation partner for Spotify’s launch in Australia. The wanted to use this opportunity to further their reputation as a music loving brand, rather than push any specific offers.
Riffing off their current “A fair go for all” brand tagline, we came up with the idea that “We helped bring you Spotify. It’s only fair we help you get the most out of it”
We presented Robin da Hood and Virgin Mobile as integral parts of Spotify by having Robin pop up to espouse the virtues of Spotify and point out features that make Spotify better.A series of 7 audio ads highlighted particular features and directed users to a handy guide Virgin Mobile had put together. The art direction placed Robin and all Virgin Mobile elements directly onto Spotify’s background colouring, making them blend into the software’s overall look.
